Software and Graphics

PKR offers some of the sharpest graphics of any online poker site. Not only are the characters, table, and cards impressive looking, but the environments you play in will blow you away.

Since you get such an advanced visual experience, it is expected that the software will be resource intensive. Also, the software size is just about 500 MB. As long as you have a computer made within the last two years, it should be able to handle the PKR software.

Deposit Bonus

PKR offers four exclusive deposit bonuses through 3DPokerLife.com for players to select. The first is a flat $50 bonus on any deposit, the second is a 50% up to $250 deposit match bonus, the third is a 100% up to $600 bonus, and the last is a brand new $2,000 bonus.

For the $50 flat rate bonus, you have to earn 6,000 PKR points, and you will receive the $50 bonus into your account. Although 6,000 points may sound like a lot, you can earn that in just 40 raked hands.

For the 50% up to $250 bonus, for every 150 PKR points you earn, you clear $1 of your bonus. PKR points come fast, and before you know it you'll be racking them up. Also, you have to clear the bonus within 60 days, so get playing.

For the 100% up to $600 bonus, for every 200 PKR points you earn, you clear $1 of your bonus. Once again, you have 60 days to clear the bonus.

Features

The features at PKR are what make it really special.  Besides the 3D environments and players, PKR offers many features that standard 2D poker rooms simply can't. The first feature that is impressive is the player customization.

When you open up the PKR lobby, you will see a tab labeled "Me." This tab is where you go for all of your player customization. You start by selecting your players' sex and body features, then you can choose from thousands of clothing options including shirts, shoes, pants, ties, jackets, and accessories.

Another excellent feature at PKR that few 3D poker rooms offer is multi tabling. PKR uses a unique picture in picture format to accomplish this. Instead of having multiple windows open for each table, all of them are combined into one window. The table you are focusing on is large and takes up 3/4 of the window, and the other three tables are smaller and aligned vertically on the right side of the window. Whenever you have a hand at any of the smaller tables, you just click it and it switches place with the large table.

At the table there is constant interaction between players. PKR instituted an "E-mote" system to let players show their emotions. At the bottom of the window, you have five e-mote buttons, that when activated, make your player perform the action. There are roughly 50 available e-motes including taunting, laughing, chip tricks, and many more.

Ease of Competition

The ease of competition at PKR is one of its biggest strong points. Since the software slightly slows down the hands per hour ratio, few highly skilled players play at PKR. Also, many of the players are computer fanatics who are there simply to see the 3D software in action.

Since most of the players at PKR are there just to have fun, you will have no problem raking in pot after pot even at tables up to the $2/$4 level. Once you reach $5/$10 or higher, the competition becomes similar to a standard 2D poker site.

Cash Table Traffic

Cash table traffic at PKR is a little slow. However, that is expected for a new 3D poker room. Although there are only roughly 400-500 cash table players playing during peak hours, this number is growing very rapidly and is expected to continue seeing increased growth.

Tournament Traffic

At PKR you will find many tournaments with buy-ins running from $1 up to $20. Since the competition at PKR is so easy, these tournaments offer very loose play, and usually have decent prize pools.

The biggest tournament PKR has is a $10,000 guaranteed tournament run on the weekends. Besides normal tournaments, PKR runs many freerolls and bounty tournaments as well.

Freerolls run very often, and have mediocre prize pools. Once in a while PKR runs a bigger freeroll for new depositors or as a seasonal promotion. Bounty tournaments are also great fun in the 3D environment.

Although PKR offers some great tournaments, there is still limited tournament traffic simply because PKR is still a fairly new poker room.

Deposit and Withdrawal

PKR offers a variety of deposit/withdrawal methods, and is a very trustworthy and reputable poker room. You can be sure that your money is safe because PKR is licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, one of the toughest gambling jurisdictions on the planet. Plus, all players' money is kept in separate "ring-face" accounts, so PKR couldn't even access this money if they tried.
