Phil Hellmuth Brings Poker to the Ipod
March 13, 2007
Without a doubt Phil Hellmuth is one of the premier poker players in the world. He holds 10 World Series of Poker bracelets, and shows extreme savvy at the poker table and in the poker business. By becoming the "Brat of Poker", Hellmuth has blossomed into one of the most known and most marketable poker players ever. He is using his brand to release an Ipod poker course.
The course will be hosted by Iamplify.com, which is a site dedicated to providing self-help and informational downloadable products. Although they have countless categories, they have just recently added a poker category, anchored by Hellmuth's course "White to Black Belt Poker Course." This is one of the first poker courses meant to be downloaded and consumed via a mobile device like a laptop or mp3 player.
This course is set up similar to karate, in the sense that players are ranked with a belt system, and you learn different strategies based on what level of a player you are. As students learn more advanced topics, they become a higher belt level, until they reach black belt status. In this portion of the book, Hellmuth reveals new strategy that he hasn't even shown in his previous books.
The price of this new course is $150, and gets you over 4 and a half hours of content. This consists of over 48 separate downloads with a mix of strategy, poker stories, and other interesting topics. If you decide to buy, you also get to participate in a live tele-conference with Phil himself. Also, if you'd like to just learn specific strategies, you can buy individual parts of the course for between ten and eighty dollars.
This is a great step for the poker strategy world, because now you don't have to read to get your strategy, you can just listen to a course on your mp3 player.
